Don’t sit at home and play video games this summer. Get out and have some fun with a little help from the Riverside Transit Agency. For the entire summer, RTA is offering all students, grades 1 through 12, 25-cent fares aboard any bus. Just flash your student ID and ride for a quarter to the movies, the mall, and the beach— anywhere we go, anytime we operate. And if you have a summer job, we’ll take you there too.

Plus, with comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi service and USB ports, there’s never been a better time to ride the bus. Show up in style, not in Mom’s minivan.

Parents, rest assured that we’ll get your kids where they need to go safely. With trained drivers and a clean environment, passenger safety is our number one priority.

Planning your day is easy. Use the Google bus trip planner or contact our Customer Information Center at (951) 565-5002 to plan your next trip. We’re open until 10 p.m. every day. And track your bus using BsWatch.

Students ride for a quarter from June 1 through September 4. To ride for a quarter, students in grades 1-12 just need to show a school-issued student ID card from the most recent school year, an RTA Youth ID card, or a California driver’s license or state ID showing the student is 18 years old or younger.

RapidLink

Get ready for a bus with faster more frequent service, a modern look and a whole new attitude. Say hello to RapidLink.

The Riverside Transit Agency is proud to launch this premium service, which will employ its own unique brand of RapidLink buses and stops. The Gold Line will launch on August 28, 2017 between UC Riverside (UCR) and Corona Transit Center along Magnolia and University avenues.

Gold Line’s weekday service will be frequent with buses departing UCR and Corona every 15 minutes during peak commuting hours. That’s good news for the 7,000 customers who catch buses every day along the busy 19-mile corridor. The other good news is Gold Line travel times will be up to 30 percent faster than Route 1, which travels along the same corridor. The cost to ride will be the same as existing RTA local bus routes.

The new buses have arrived. This fleet will continue RTA's tradition of using clean-burning Compressed Natural Gas and feature 38 seats, free Wi-Fi, USB chargers and a rack that can carry up to two bikes. Customers will also be able to track these buses in real-time with BusWatch at www.rtabus.com or on the BusWatch app.

Gold Line service between UCR and Corona Transit Center will serve 14 bus stops. These special stops are reserved exclusively for Gold Line buses and come with modern shelters, solar-powered lighting and information signage. Stops are located at many popular destinations.

With the launch of RapidLink Gold Line, RTA will usher in a new faster era of transit service with comfort, style and reliability.
