Assemblymember Medina Honors the Inland Empire Latino Lawyers Association as “Nonprofit of the Year”
SACRAMENTO— Today, Assemblymember Jose Medina (D-Riverside) celebrated California Nonprofits Day by recognizing the Inland Empire Latino Lawyers Association (IELLA) as the 61st Assembly District’s “Nonprofit of the Year.”
IELLA provides pro bono legal services to those who cannot hire private attorneys due to limited financial resources and language barriers. With 7 legal aid clinics throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties, IELLA is the place hundreds of low income individuals have turned to for help with a legal matter that threatens their home or livelihood.
“The Inland Empire Latino Lawyers Association provides a critical service to members of our community and acts as an advocate for some of our region’s most vulnerable,” said Assemblymember Medina. I am honored to recognize them as the ‘Nonprofit of the Year’ for AD 61 and grateful for the contributions they have made to our community.”
