(Sacramento)  – Assemblymember Jose Medina (D-Riverside), Chair of the Assembly Higher Education Committee, led a special joint oversight hearing with the Assembly’s Budget Sub-2 Committee to discuss closing the degree gap. Assemblymember Medina says recent studies show California is facing a massive shortfall in degree holders. “Thanks to research by PPIC and California Competes, we know the state is facing a shortfall of over a million degree holders,” Assemblymember Medina told the committees.
