Assemblymember Tina McKinnor Leads Effort to Unionize State Legislative Staff

(SACRAMENTO, CA) – Following today’s swearing in ceremony of the 2023-24 State Assembly, Assemblymember Tina McKinnor (D - Inglewood)  joined by 26 co-authors from the Assembly and State Senate introduced AB 1, which would allow legislative staff the choice to join a union and collectively bargain for wages, benefits and working conditions.

Assemblymember McKinnor Bill to Address California’s Housing Crisis Signed Into Law

(INGLEWOOD, CA) – California’s commitment to address the ongoing housing and homelessness crisis received collaborative and bipartisan boost with the signing of legislation by recently elected Assemblymember Tina McKinnor (D - Inglewood). AB 1743 (McKinnor) requires local governments to report the amount of housing that was actually produced and occupied in the previous year.
