California Competes Tax Credit Workshop

The Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is hosting a workshop on the California Competes Tax Credit. Small, medium, and large businesses are encouraged to attend the workshop and receive instructions on how to apply for this tax credit program.

What is the Credit?
The California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) is an income tax credit available to businesses that want to locate in California or stay and grow in California.

Who Can Apply?
Any business can apply for the CCTC and there are no geographic or sector-specific restrictions that impact eligibility.  In addition, twenty-five percent of the total credits available each fiscal year are specifically reserved for small businesses.

The next application period begins January 2, 2017 and closes January 23, 2017.  Go to calcompetes.ca.gov to apply.

Annual Holiday Open House and Book Drive

Come out and celebrate the annual Holiday Open House and Book Drive! Bring your friends along to enjoy music, refreshments and a fun holiday atmosphere. If you are able to, please bring a book to donate. Donated Books will be distributed by local organizations.

Public Hearing

We will discuss how the Inland Empire can work toward a regional approach to support small businesses. We will also offer workforce training resources and discuss the latest programs that aim to enhance workforce development in the Inland Empire. Participating agencies include: The Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development, U.S. Small Business Administration, California Workforce Investment Board, San Bernardino County Economic Development Agency, Riverside County Economic Development Agency, and more. Please join me to convey your thoughts and ideas on how we can help our small business community grow.

Appointees are entrusted with the responsibility to ensure that the state carries out its constitutional and statutory obligations. There are over 200 opportunities to serve in a multitude of areas.

California needs quality leadership that reflects the rich diversity of our great state. Appointments are an opportunity for civic engagement and the chance to enrich the lives of Californians.
