MEDIA ADVISORY: Assemblymember McKinnor to Chair Hearing on the Positive Impacts of Restorative Justice in California

(INGLEWOOD, CA) Assemblymember Tina McKinnor (D- Inglewood), Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Restorative Justice, will host the first in a series of informational hearings on the impacts of restorative justice practices on victims, perpetrators of crime, families, communities and its successful work to reduce recidivism across California.

The hearing will include testimony and panel discussions from a variety of criminal justice experts and community leaders including LA County District Attorney George Gascon. The hearing will provide a platform for these experts to present their views, share experiences and propose legislative solutions for integrating restorative justice into the broader criminal justice framework.
