Medina-Mendoza Bills for Part-Time Faculty Signed by Governor

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jose Medina (D-Riverside) and Senator Tony Mendoza (D-Artesia) announced that their legislative package of AB 1690 and SB 1379, focused on part-time faculty at California Community Colleges, was signed by the Governor.

Assemblymember Medina and Senator Roth Honor Partnership to Preserve Citrus State Historic Park

RIVERSIDE – Assemblymember Jose Medina (D-Riverside) and Senator Richard Roth (D-Riverside) alongside Secretary of Natural Resources John Laird and former Riverside Mayor Ron Loveridge honored the partnership between California Citrus State Historic Park and Friends of California Citrus Park. A signing ceremony was held today to commemorate the creation of this public-private partnership. Such partnerships were encouraged by Governor Brown as a way to enhance State resources.

Assemblymember Medina Honors Latino Network as 2016 Nonprofit of the Year

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jose Medina (D-Riverside) honored the Latino Network of Riverside as the 2016 Nonprofit of the Year for the 61st Assembly District. The Latino Network was represented in the Capitol by its President Darlene Elliot and Vice President Ninfa Delgado.

Assemblymember Medina Honors Cellar Door Books as 2016 Small Business of the Year

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jose Medina (D-Riverside) honored Linda Sherman-Nurick, owner of Cellar Door Books of Riverside, with the 2016 Small Business of the Year award for the 61st Assembly District. Cellar Door Books provides an immersive literary experience for the local community by selling books, as well as hosting book clubs, workshops, and writing groups.
